Virginia L. Huartson

Virginia L. (Byl) Huartson, age 87, of Grand Rapids, Micigan passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026 after a long battle with Alzhiemers.

Born June 5, 1938 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She enjoyed watching sports on TV, reading, and playing cards with family and friends. She graduated from Creston High School in 1956 and married Raymond K. Huartson in 1960. They were married 58 years until he passed in 2019.

She is survived by her brother James (Patricia) Byl; daughters Cynthia Wickering, Sandy Huartson, Lori (Joe) Taylor; grandchildren Gary Miller, Adrian Wickering, Garret Taylor, Evan Metzger, Silas Tinker; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Northlawn United Methodist Church on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00am. The funeral service will begin at 11:00am with food and fellowship immediately afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
